Bill Gates has got a note from his mum

TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE is a phrase guaranteed to bring any INQ staffer out in a bilious attack and a terminal case of prickly heat, but the thought of spending a week competing in sporting events with the cream of the UK's IT departments has made us need a bit of a lie down in a darkened room.

The teams entering this year's Microsoft UK Challenge - which include Microsoft, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Hewlett Packard among others - will be competing day and night on physical and mental challenges like running and cracking codes.

So if you're in Scotland between the 11th and 15th of June and you see a group of myopic, pigeon-chested, knock-kneed dweebs queuing outside Boots to fill their inhaler prescriptions and buy insect repellent and Star Wars plasters you'll know what's going on.

But it's all for charidee, so good job anyhoo. µ
