Quick on the serve

DIGITIMES SAYS Google is buying a bunch of solid state drives from Intel to run some of its servers on.

The Taiwanese site was told by its memory-making moles that Google is looking to fit SSDs into servers located at its Mountain View HQ.

Intel landed the order with its old Mate Marvell serving up some supporting bits and bobs.

Digtimes doesn't know how many drives we're talking about here. It may just be a twisted pair. Which Google should be able to afford. µ
