MS browser goes mobile
Your flexible friend
MICROSOFT WILL release a version of its Web browser that will mean surfing the web with mobile telephones will be just as good as desktop computers.
Yesterday Vole showed off Internet Explorer Mobile software which will be released by October.
Microsoft president of entertainment and devices division Robbie Bach told the Sydney Morning Herald that punters wanted a phone that was flexible enough to meet their needs throughout their day. We guess he means the software, a bendy phone does not strike us as particularly useful unless you drop it.
Vole has also released an update to its Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system targeted at BlackBerry. It will enable workers to have email "pushed" to devices from their company's enterprise servers.
While many think Microsoft is responding to the threats of dominance that the Iphone has bought into the market, analysts have been talking about mobile Interweb being the way forward for consumers anyway. µ

Sweet!
Sweet! Now I don't need 6 toolbars to fill the screen like on the PC, all I need is one! Thank you microsoft! In other words, browsing the net just as bad as on the PC...
Windows Mobile 5 had push
Windows Mobile has been competing with Blackberry since Windows Mobile 5.0 - I've had push email to my Windows Mobile 5 device for the last couple of years from our Exchange servers. All you need is WM5 and Exchange 2003 with SP2.Who need IE for that?
Who needs Internet Exploder for mobile browsing? Haven't you heard of Opera Mini?Umm...
Yeah. That and they are responding to the threats of dominance that the Iphone has bought into the market.Java?
What do you mean by "goes mobile"? A Java version? IE has been mobile for some time, as it comes standard for devices running Windows Mobile and Windows CE...Just a fake, not the real thing
In fact Windows Mobile always had some piece of Software called Pocket Internet Explorer. Only problem is - it's Internet Explorer Version 3: No Javascript, no CSS, no nothing. Just vaporware from the vole, like always.
