SOME PEOPLE might be happy talking to the dead via tombstones or watching funerals via web cams but only the truly morbid would want to be the talking dead.
But now you can, thanks to a service from Copeland Closure (geddit?) which says “web technology enables letter writing and guaranteed delivery of final sentiments”
It’s what they are calling “emotional coverage", kind of like life insurance for the dead. You sign up to a web site and, for several hundred yankee dollars a pop, you can write a letter to someone which will be delivered in the event of your death, "in a leather-bound portfolio."
It gets better. By signing an Authorization to Release Information form and keeping it with their will, clients can ensure that the necessary steps are taken on their behalf. This document instructs the attorney/executor to return a copy of the form along with a copy of the death certificate to Copeland Closure via mail, fax or email.
Then your letter gets sent. Couldn't be simpler.

Without the opportunity to say goodbye, she knew there was a vital need for such a service.
How does she know that all these dead people wanted to say anything to her?

I think you missed something. The service was designed for people who actually have people in their lives that they care about and who care about them. Opps, Microsoft uses Mt. Vernon Place & Security uses Spy Museum, Standards commites meet at Pentagon, Eg Atsc. Ronald Reagan building does server stuff So thought about edian home never mybedroom, yet living room had bunch of Capitol peoples, overtime. Kitchen was favorite of CDC, liked round formica table, yet no one used dining room w/ oak table that has eagle clws for feet. Not laundry nor baths, library with gold wired bookcases was Politicians domain, RMN,momdale, etc. QEII started there & moved to kitchen. Basement lab was showpoint, rec room not much except 16 channel switching 4x8 plywood board. 64 channel wi was flowing from lab, thru ping pong table in rec & into autos.
Then thers 22nd & 4th lab I ran, we stuck with block transformers with huge switches, only people dropping by where orphans. in Crapatoga uniforms of Red & Yellow with world as Anchor. Except one who should of dried up & died, went on diplomatic tour in band as bass player, having home in north admiralty way, now blown up in a bomb test.
Also in interconnected lab, when Creedence clearwater broke up, parts useed it as New country honky tonk. Same with Willie Murphy, local band & relative.
