Civil servant gets through porn like lightning

Japanese bloke clocks up 10,000 pages per day

A JAPANESE civil servant was been fined and demoted after techies discovered he'd viewed an impressive 780,000 pornographic pages in just nine-months.

The 57 year-old from Kinokawa in southern Japan, is reckoned to have been viewing 10,000 pages a day, or 20 every minute when his frenzied wibbling was at its most vigorous.

Kinokawa official Tomiko Waki told journalists the porn king's surfing habits had gone unnoticed since the he was seated away from other staff who could not see what was on his screen.

They put his strange noises down to personal peccadillos, it seems.

The lightning surfer was found out after he picked up a computer virus and technical support examined his browser's history. He was subsequently demoted and suffered a pay cut.

It is not clear whether the man will now have his desk anywhere near less distracted workers. µ

WOW

I thought i got through some porn at work but SHIT!! LOL

But anyways here i thought that the tech staff was actually doing some work reviewing server logs and stuff and came upon this but NO they just looked in his FREAKING HISTORY!!! If the tech staff don't want ppl be on porn sites why no filter? I would have given my IT staff some cuts too for even allowing this kinda thing!.. don't the chinese filter porn anyways. Sounds kinda fishey.

Japan is not China

Your ignorance is cute....

Has anyone thought that maybe the virus was causing all those porn pages to pop up? If I was the old guy I would play dumb and blame it on the virus. And what does internet history have to do with removing a virus anyhow? Could be a set up by the IT department meant to get rid of a problematic "power user"...

Chinese filters

Yeah you would be right about that DeadSouL, but if you notice this was in Japan not China. Japanese don't have Government regulated filters the same way the Chinese do.

The Chinese filters caught him, but the Japanese ones didn't thus the problem.

Ain't them Asians all the same?

@DeadSouL: Uh, I think Japanese and Chinese are two different people from two different countries. Hell, the Japanese invented Bukkake.

The Relative in Porn?

There is so much of it, it's sad to say porn viewers would have probably encountered naked pictures of relatives, even their own wife, daughter, mother!

Happy turn off!

BS

I do not believe a word of this story, either it's fake altogether (I know BBC and AP andsoforth carry it but that proves nothing), or they set him up or it's the virus that did all those hits to generate income for someone.
Obviously it's not possible for a single person to actually 'use' 20 pages a minute but journalists don't seem to mind not asking questions (again).

That's insane.

That's insane. There's no f·""·$$%&% way anyone would be able to see that many pages a day. As someone else said earlier, maybe the old man had spyware or viruses that opened up the pages.

Explanation

The Japanese are a very industrious and efficient people. 10,000 pages in one day may sound unbelievable at first blush, but these are the people who gave us six sigma. Somewhere in Japan, someone wants to give him a parade.

It's admins fault

OK - 20 pages in a minute?! Get real, people. It's the virus (and probably more than one), and probably spy and adware that did this, not a user. And, as an expirienced admin - I can blame this on admins in that company. They did a lousy job, and now have switched the blame on user. It's theit fault user even could visit those pages...

this must be a record

i mean, 720000 pages in 9 months??? if he contacted the guinness book of world record i'm sure he would have a long lasting record =P
