Microsoft blocks YouTube links

Use MSN Video instead

SOFTWARE giant Microsoft seems to have hit on a wizard wheeze for forcing the users of the competing web-site Youtube from sending links to their mates.

According to Beta Daily, any link to a Youtube video gets automatically blocked if you try sending it on MSN and Windows Live Messenger messages.

Apparently if you try it, you get a little message saying that the link could not be delivered.

Could it possibly be a co-incidence that Vole has released its Messenger TV in 20 countries which allows for sharing video clips from MSN Video on messenger? µ

very unprofessional

Very unprofessional from m$, the move sounds like one made by an dwindling empire hoping to gain ground by these hopeless moves. Do they know what we don't ?

Have they become too fat and start to fall over ? Questions.....

What do you expect?

Would you expect anything less from Microsoft?

This is not a surprise, another reason not to use MSN - apart from the obvious ones like - errm - its cr*p, its a portal for viruses, and erm... its cr*p, also did I mention its cr*p?

have they learned nothing about fair play from previous legal matters?

obviously not. belligerent to the core...

perhaps they need to have their brains formatted and a new os installed!

hmmm

Aparently M$ did it because they were afraid the youtube links were viruses... right.

Stupid

I noticed this too a couple of days ago.. It's annoying! What's the point of this? At least it doesn't make M$ seem any better in my eyes...

bah humbug

all the more reason to boycott microsoft products

they always latch on to someone else's good/popular idea and make their own rubbishy version. they ripped off ideas like google earth, mozilla firefox features, winamp, games consoles and now youtube. i am sure they will continue to do so for many years to come.

obviously they lack creativity and inspiration.

It works again

I noticed this last week, and it wasnt working at all. But it seems that once the word got out they unblocked it again..... It wasnt an urban legend, it did not allow youtube links at all.

My Outlook improved 100%!

Once I restored to before installing (or uninstalling) XP SP3. I like to see images in my html email.

Microsoft: The dubious hallmarker of dodgy vole shafts.

We all (mostly) live in a volish subterfuge...
a volish subterfuge...
a volish subterfuge...
