T-MOBILE has been sued in the US for unexpectedly slapping wireless subscribers with extra fees for talking to other companies.

Plaintiffs Robin Moore and Crystal Butler were incandescent with rage when they opened their bill and found $9.99 extra charges slapped on for making a connection to Opera Telecom and Flycell.

T-Mobile didn’t tell anyone how to contact these companies it just charged the customers and told them to pay up.

The suit adds that T-Mobile collects cash in a similar way for other third party companies like Opera and Flycell, and takes a cut of the money collected.

This is a class action and follows similar cases against Sprint Nextel, Alltel and Verizon Wireless. µ
